The Committee on High Posts granted approval for several key appointments in Sri Lanka's diplomatic service and public administration. The committee approved the appointment of one ambassador, two ministry secretaries, and four chairpersons of major state institutions.

The Committee on High Posts granted approval for several key appointments in Sri Lanka's diplomatic service and public administration. The committee approved the appointment of one ambassador, two ministry secretaries, and four chairpersons of major state institutions.

Accordingly, Mr. Wijesinghe Arachchige Kapila Sanjeewa De Alwis was approved as the new Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Sultanate of Oman.

In the administrative sector, the committee approved the appointment of Mr. M.A.L.S.N.K. Manthrinayake as the Secretary to the Ministry of Rural Development, Social Security and Community Empowerment. Additionally, Mrs. J. M. Thilaka Jayasundara was approved as the Secretary to the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development.

The committee also gave the green light for four chairmanships in leading state institutions. Mr. Kavinda de Zoysa was appointed as Chairman of the Bank of Ceylon, while Mr. Priyantha Wedamulla was approved as Chairman of Independent Television Network (ITN) Ltd. Mr. Pravir D. Samarasinghe received approval as Chairman of Hotel Developers (Lanka) Limited, and Mr. Jayathissa Anaththa Pathiranage was appointed as Chairman of the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB).
