Sri Lanka has taken a significant step in its digital transformation journey with the official launch of the National AI Expo & Conference 2025, the country’s first national-level platform dedicated to showcasing artificial intelligence.
The announcement was made yesterday at a high-profile press conference in Colombo, led by the Ministry of Digital Economy. The landmark event is scheduled to take place from September 29–30, 2025, and is expected to bring together global AI experts, industry leaders, educators, policymakers, and innovators to discuss and shape the nation’s AI-driven future.
Organisers stated that the conference will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, technology exhibitions, and live demonstrations of AI applications in sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, education, finance, and public services.
Officials emphasised that the National AI Expo & Conference will not only highlight Sri Lanka’s readiness to adopt AI but also create collaborative opportunities to boost innovation, economic growth, and global competitiveness.
