A Commission spokesperson said these individuals were formally notified through WhatsApp, email, and via embassies, but have not responded to requests to return and provide statements related to ongoing investigations.
Some of the suspects are believed to be hiding abroad, while others are reportedly still in Sri Lanka. The Commission is now moving to obtain Interpol Red Notices and has begun reporting these cases to the courts.
Among those evading authorities are several former cabinet ministers, members of parliament, and heads of state institutions, the spokesperson said.
The Commission noted that a number of key investigations remain incomplete due to their non-cooperation. Further reports are being submitted to court to obtain the necessary legal orders to proceed.
