A landing plane crashed into a parked aircraft at Kalispell City Airport, sparking a fire. All four onboard escaped with two having minor injuries. The blaze was quickly contained.
A plane landing on Monday at a Montana airport crashed and struck a parked aircraft, triggering a large fire but causing no serious injuries, authorities said.
The single-engine plane carrying four people was attempting to land at about 2 p.m. at the Kalispell City Airport, according to Kalispell Police Chief Jordan Venezio and the Federal Aviation Administration.
The Federal Aviation Administration said one plane on the ground was struck. That caused a fire that spread into a grassy area before it was extinguished, according to Venezio, who said several aircraft were involved.
