Sri Lanka have climbed back into the top four of the ICC Men’s ODI Team Rankings following a strong run of form in recent series.

As per the latest update released on 10 August 2025, Sri Lanka moved up one place to fourth with a rating of 103, overtaking Pakistan, who slipped to fifth with a rating of 102. The Sri Lankan side now sits on 4009 points from 39 matches, marking a significant step forward in their ODI resurgence.

India continue to lead the ODI standings with a commanding rating of 124 points. New Zealand and Australia remain close behind, both holding ratings of 109, though New Zealand edges into second place due to a narrow decimal margin. Sri Lanka’s rise was fueled by impressive series victories against both India and Australia earlier in the season, boosting their ranking significantly and solidifying their position among the world’s top ODI teams.

Pakistan, who have had inconsistent performances in recent months, fell to fifth place, just one point behind Sri Lanka. The rest of the top ten includes South Africa in sixth, Afghanistan seventh, England eighth, West Indies ninth, and Bangladesh rounding out the list in tenth.

With the ICC Champions Trophy and ODI World Cup cycles on the horizon, Sri Lanka’s rise in the rankings is a timely boost.
