Debate to Remove IGP Tennakoon to Be Held in Parliament Tomorrow (5)

Parliamentary General Secretary Kushani Rohanadeera has announced that the debate to remove Inspector General of Police (IGP) Deshabandu Tennakoon, in accordance with Section 17 of the Removal of Public Officers (Procedure) Act No. 5 of 2002, is scheduled to be debated in Parliament tomorrow (August 5).
This decision was taken during a recent meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Business, held on the afternoon of July 24 under the chairmanship of Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramanayake.
Accordingly, Parliament is scheduled to convene on August 5, 6, and 7.
