An attempted shooting targeting a fisherman at the Hikkaduwa-Dodanduwa fisheries harbor failed on Thursday, as the firearm used by the assailants reportedly malfunctioned twice.
According to police sources, two suspects arrived at the harbor on a motorcycle and attempted to open fire, allegedly over a financial dispute. However, their plan was foiled when the gun failed to discharge correctly.
