She was being sought in connection with a suspicious jeep, which had recently come under police scrutiny.
Earlier, on the 20th of this month, the son of MP Jagath Withanage was taken into custody while driving the same suspicious jeep. He was later released on bail after being handed over to authorities.
Meanwhile, the brother-in-law of MP Rohitha Abeygunawardena has also been arrested in connection with the same vehicle and has been remanded until the 1st of next month.
Following statements being recorded from the suspect who surrendered today, she is scheduled to be produced before the Matugama Magistrate’s Court later today (30).
