Showers Expected in Several Provinces
A few showers are expected in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the Nuwara-Eliya, Kandy, Galle, and Matara districts.
Meanwhile, Uva Province, and parts of Ampara and Batticaloa districts, may experience showers or thundershowers during the afternoon or night.
Strong Winds in Some Areas
Fairly strong winds of around 40 kmph are likely at times over the western slopes of the central hills and in the Southern Province.
The general public is advised to take necessary precautions against potential damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Rainfall:
Light showers may occur in the sea areas off the coast from Colombo to Matara via Galle.
Winds:
Wind conditions will be westerly to south-westerly with speeds of 30-40 kmph.
Wind speeds could increase up to 50-55 kmph at times, particularly in the sea areas from Chilaw to Pottuvil via Colombo, Galle, and Hambantota.
State of the Sea:
These same sea areas (Chilaw to Pottuvil via Colombo, Galle, and Hambantota) are expected to be fairly rough at times.
Fishermen and naval personnel are requested to remain cautious.
