
President Embarks on Official Visit to the Maldives

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President Dissanayake will remain in the Maldives until July 30. The visit will include high-level bilateral discussions between the two Heads of State, during which several agreements are expected to be signed to enhance collaboration across key sectors.
The President is also scheduled to address the Maldivian Business Forum, engaging with Maldivian and Sri Lankan business leaders to explore investment and trade opportunities. Additionally, he will meet with members of the Sri Lankan expatriate community residing in the Maldives.
This visit marks a significant step in reinforcing long-standing ties between the two Indian Ocean neighbors, with a focus on economic cooperation, regional stability, and people-to-people connections.
