Attempted Shooting in Dehiwala: Health Officer Escapes Unharmed

A health administrative officer narrowly escaped an attempted shooting near the S. de S. Jayasinghe grounds in Dehiwala this morning after the assailants' firearm failed to discharge, police reported.
According to authorities, two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle attempted to open fire at the officer. However, the weapon malfunctioned, prompting the suspects to flee the scene.
Dehiwala Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
