
Earthquake of magnitude 6.2 hits Indonesia's Sulawesi

A magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck Indonesia’s Minahassa Peninsula in the Sulawesi region on Thursday, according to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ). The quake occurred at a depth of 147 kilometres.
Earlier on Wednesday, an earthquake of magnitude 5.5 struck Indonesia's Seram. The quake hit at a depth of 15 km, with its epicentre about 244 kilometers east-northeast of Ambon and 155 kilometres from Amahai.
