Five-Vehicle Collision reported in Minneriya

A multi-vehicle collision occurred this morning in front of the C.P. Pura Primary School on the Polonnaruwa-Colombo main road in Minneriya, injuring one person.
The accident happened when a tipper truck attempted to overtake recklessly and crashed into an oncoming cab. A school bus behind the cab braked suddenly, leading to a chain-reaction crash involving a lorry and a safari jeep.
The tipper truck driver has been arrested, and Minneriya Police are investigating the incident.
