Showers are expected at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Central provinces, as well as in Galle and Matara districts.
Fairly heavy rainfall exceeding 75 mm is likely in:
Sabaragamuwa ProvinceNuwara-Eliya and Kandy districtsGalle and Matara districtsSeveral spells of showers are also likely in the Northern and North-Western provinces.
🌬️ Strong Wind Advisory:
Gusty winds of 50-60 kmph are expected at times over:
Western slopes of the Central Hills
Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, North-Western, and North-Central provinces
Elsewhere on the island, fairly strong winds of 30-40 kmph may occur.
The public is advised to take precautionary measures to avoid damages from strong winds.

Showers are likely at several places in the sea areas off the coast from Puttalam to Matara, via Colombo and Galle.
🌬️ Wind Conditions:
Winds will be Westerly to South-Westerly, with speeds of 35-45 kmph.
Gusts may reach:
60-70 kmph in sea areas off Puttalam to Pottuvil, via Colombo, Galle, and Hambantota
50-55 kmph off Puttalam to Vakarai, via Mannar, Kankesanthurai, and Trincomalee
🌊 Sea Conditions:
Sea areas from Puttalam to Pottuvil via Colombo, Galle, and Hambantota will be rough to very rough.
Naval and fishing communities are strictly advised not to venture into these waters.
Sea areas from Puttalam to Vakarai via Mannar, Kankesanthurai, and Trincomalee may be rough at times.
Wave heights of 2.5 to 3.0 meters may cause coastal surges in nearshore areas, particularly from Puttalam to Pottuvil.
