Anticipatory Bail Application by Rajitha Senaratne Rejected

Senaratne had sought anticipatory bail in a bid to avoid arrest by the Bribery Commission. However, Colombo Chief Magistrate Thanuja Lakmali Jayatunga, after carefully reviewing the submissions presented by both the former minister’s legal team and representatives from the Bribery Commission, dismissed the application on Friday.

This ruling clears the way for the Bribery Commission to proceed with legal action against the former minister, though the specific charges have yet to be disclosed to the public.
