A shooting incident was reported near the Dehiwala Railway Station earlier today, resulting in one individual sustaining injuries
According to police sources, the victim was shot in the leg and has been admitted to the Colombo South Teaching Hospital in Kalubowila for treatment. His condition is currently reported to be stable.
Eyewitnesses and initial investigations revealed that two unidentified individuals arrived on a motorcycle, carried out the shooting, and fled the scene immediately. Police officers have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the suspects.
Police have cordoned off the area and are reviewing nearby CCTV footage to gather further evidence. The motive behind the attack remains unclear at this stage.
