Minister Bimal Rathnayake Attends Global Aviation and Maritime Symposium in Singapore

During the visit, Minister Rathnayake engaged in several high-level meetings aimed at strengthening Sri Lanka’s role as a regional transport and trade hub. On July 14, he addressed the Ministerial and Industry Roundtable themed “Shaping Tomorrow’s Transport: People, Technology, and Policy.”

He shared the panel with key global figures including Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo, Saudi Arabia’s Transport Minister Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Tuvalu’s Transport Minister Simon Kofe, IFATCA President Helena Sjöström Falk, RwandAir CEO Yvonne Manzi Makolo, and Mary Liew, General Secretary of the Singapore Maritime Officers’ Union.

The visit highlighted Sri Lanka’s commitment to advancing regional cooperation in aviation, maritime, and logistics sectors.
