Tourist Arrivals in Sri Lanka Top 1.2 Million in 2025

Sri Lanka’s tourism sector continues its strong rebound, with 79,771 tourists arriving in the first 13 days of July alone, according to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA). This brings the total number of arrivals for 2025 to 1,247,815.
India remains the top source market, contributing 16,329 visitors in July so far—accounting for 20.5% of arrivals. The UK and Australia follow as the second and third largest sources. India has sent the highest number of tourists overall in 2025, with 258,323 arrivals to date.
