Two Remanded Over Rs. 250 M Illegal Motorcycle Warehouse Case in Hambantota

Hambantota authorities have remanded two suspects until July 25 after uncovering an illegal motorcycle storage operation valued at Rs. 250 million. The Central Crime Investigation Division seized the motorcycles on July 12 from a warehouse located inside a bird park.
Acting on a special tip-off, the raid was conducted under the directives of Acting IGP Priyantha Weerasooriya and led by Director Kamal Ariyavansa.
The suspects were produced before the Hambantota Magistrate’s Court, which also imposed a travel ban on the warehouse owner. Investigations are ongoing.
