The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) is set to launch the Anti-Pyramid National Awareness Week from July 14 to 18, 2025, under the theme “Pyramid is a trap – don’t get into the wrong track.” The campaign aims to raise public awareness about the risks of illegal pyramid schemes and their negative impact on individuals and the economy.

Organized by CBSL’s Financial Consumer Relations Department, the initiative targets over 6,000 schools and 14,000 Grama Niladhari divisions, reaching students, teachers, military and police personnel, civil servants, and the general public.

CBSL urges all citizens to actively participate and stay alert, stressing that financial awareness is key to preventing scams and preserving public trust in the financial system.
