SriLankan Ambassador to Israel Mr.Nimal Bandara says during the months of July and August, extreme heat affects almost all parts of Israel. Those working outdoors in agriculture and construction are advised to wear head coverings at all times and to drink water regularly.
It is also strongly recommended not to swim immediately after working in high temperatures.
In case of an emergency, please contact the Israeli ambulance service and seek immediate hospital care.
Sri Lankan worker who had been working under high temperatures during the day was admitted to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera after falling seriously ill following a swim upon arriving at the shelter.
The hospital staff is providing him with the necessary medical treatment. Due to the critical nature of his condition, arrangements are being made to transfer him to Rambam Hospital. (10.15 PM)
