CEYPETCO Revamps Recruitment Process After 35 Years

According to CEYPETCO’s Managing Director, Dr. Mayura Nettikumara, the move aims to eliminate longstanding irregularities and bring transparency and efficiency to the corporation’s hiring practices.
Dr. Nettikumara further revealed that the corporation intends to rationalize its workforce by reducing the number of employees recruited since 2012. Of the 3,000 recruited in that period, only approximately 2,031 essential positions will be retained under the new structure.
He emphasized that this decision is part of a broader restructuring effort to ensure CEYPETCO operates more effectively and in line with modern standards of governance.
The new recruitment framework is expected to focus on merit-based selection and streamlined operational requirements, strengthening accountability and performance within the state-owned enterprise.
