Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith Honored Today for 50 Years of Priesthood

Religious leaders, ministers, ambassadors, heads of the tri-forces, and the Inspector General of Police are expected to attend. The ceremony is organized by the Archbishopric of Colombo.

In light of the event, police have imposed restrictions on heavy vehicles in parts of the Borella Police Division, especially around Ward Place and the stretch from Kinsey Road junction to Nandadasa Kodagoda junction.

Cardinal Ranjith completed 50 years in the priesthood on June 29, and a thanksgiving mass was held on June 30 at St. Lucia’s Cathedral, where school supplies were also distributed to 50 children.
