The National Water Supply and Drainage Board has announced a 12-hour water supply suspension in several areas of Gampaha, starting from 8:30 a.m. today (July 7).

The disruption is due to essential maintenance work on power lines at the Sapugaskanda substation, which has affected the Biyagama Water Treatment Plant.
Areas affected include Peliyagoda, Wattala, Ja-Ela, Katunayake, and Seeduwa municipal zones, along with the Pradeshiya Sabha areas of Kelaniya, Wattala, Biyagama, Mahara, Dompe, Ja-Ela, Katana, Minuwangoda, and Gampaha.
The Board has apologized for the inconvenience and urges the public to use water sparingly during this period.
