The operation was jointly carried out by the Sri Lanka Police, Special Task Force (STF), Sri Lanka Army, Air Force, and Navy. It targeted several key areas including Kandana, Ja-Ela, Wattala, and Ragama.
According to the Ministry of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs, the crackdown was part of ongoing efforts to curb organized crime and narcotics trafficking across the country.
