15 Injured as SLTB Bus Overturns in Wattegama

A Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) bus traveling from Wattegama to Kandy via Kudugala overturned today (3rd) in the Araliya Uyana area, injuring 15 passengers, police reported.
The accident occurred when the door near the driver’s seat suddenly opened while the bus was in motion. As the driver attempted to close it, he lost control, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and overturn. Around 25 passengers were on board at the time.
The injured were admitted to Wattegama Hospital, with no serious injuries reported. Wattegama Police are investigating the incident further.
