Sri Lanka was bowled out for 244 runs in 49.2 overs after electing to bat first in the first One Day International against Bangladesh, held today at the R. Premadasa Stadium.

Captain Charith Asalanka led the innings with a brilliant knock of 106 runs, supported by Kusal Mendis with 45 and Janith Liyanage with 29. For Bangladesh, Taskin Ahmed starred with the ball, claiming 4 wickets, while Shakib Al Hasan picked up 2.

Bangladesh now needs 245 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
