The Minister of Transport has approved a 0.55% reduction in bus fares, which will come into effect from Friday, July 4, 2025, the National Transport Commission (NTC) announced.
This adjustment follows the annual bus fare revision process conducted by the NTC. However, the Commission clarified that the minimum fare of Rs. 27, as well as the second and third lowest fare brackets Rs. 35 and Rs. 45 respectively will remain unchanged.
The fare reduction applies only to standard rates above the third fare slab and will affect inter-provincial and long-distance travel sectors.
