Professor Malani Andagama was passed away today (30)

Later, she was honored with the title of Emeritus Professor, awarded by the University Senate in recognition of her service. She also held the position of Secretary of the Mahavamsa Compilation Board, which is responsible for the continuous writing of Sri Lanka’s history.

Professor Malani Andagama contributed greatly to the nation with numerous publications, including "The History of the Village Council System in Sri Lanka" and "The Political History of Sri Lanka", demonstrating her commitment to teaching history at a national level.
