Malwathu Maha Viharaya Denies Mahinda Rajapaksa Intervention Request

The Malwathu Maha Viharaya has firmly denied reports suggesting former President Mahinda Rajapaksa requested the Chief Prelate to intervene in matters related to his wife, Shiranthi Rajapaksa.
In an official statement, the Deputy Registrar clarified that no such meeting or telephone conversation took place. He further warned that legal action will be pursued against individuals or media outlets spreading false information intended to incite public unrest.
