Sri Lankans granted extended re-Entry Visa validity to return to Israel until July 31

According to a special notice issued by the Foreign Ministry, Israel’s Population and Immigration Authority (PIBA) has extended the validity period of re-entry visas in light of recent disruptions caused by the conflict with Iran and the temporary suspension of international flights to Israel.
Although international air travel to Israel has since resumed, the extension remains in effect, allowing Sri Lankan workers who were unable to return due to travel restrictions to now re-enter Israel and resume their employment without visa complications.
The Ministry emphasized that Sri Lankans whose re-entry visas are set to expire during their stay in Sri Lanka will still be permitted to return to Israel under this extension, ensuring continuity of employment and minimizing disruptions for migrant workers.
This decision comes as a relief for many Sri Lankan workers and their families who were concerned about the uncertainty surrounding travel back to Israel amid the volatile geopolitical situation.
