The two Members of Parliament who were reported missing earlier this week have been found, according to local police sources and on-ground reporting.

The MPs were located by authorities by the afternoon today, following a brief but intense search effort. In a formal complaint lodged with the Kananke Police, the two individuals stated they had been abducted while traveling in a three-wheeler.

According to the complaint, a group of unidentified individuals traveling in a cab intercepted their vehicle and forcibly took them to an undisclosed house. The MPs claim they were held there for several hours before being transported in the same cab and released in the Dewata area of Galle.

Kananke Police have launched an investigation into the incident, and authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage and collecting witness statements from the area. No arrests have been made so far.
