Train operations on Sri Lanka’s Upcountry Railway Line have been disrupted following the derailment of a power set train at the Rambukkana railway station earlier today.
According to railway authorities, the train, which was en route from Colombo to Rambukkana, derailed upon arrival at the station. The incident has led to the temporary suspension of train services along the affected route.
Efforts are currently underway to clear the tracks and restore normal operations. In the meantime, Sri Lanka Railways has announced that alternative transportation arrangements are being made for stranded passengers.
Passengers are advised to stay updated through official channels for further information on service resumption and transport alternatives.
