India Assists for Sri Lankans Seeking to Leave Iran

The Sri Lankan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment & Tourism has announced that the Government of India has extended crucial support to facilitate air travel for Sri Lankan nationals currently residing in Iran who wish to return home.

According to the Ministry, any Sri Lankan citizen in Iran seeking assistance to depart can now reach out to the Indian Embassy in Iran. The Indian authorities have provided dedicated contact points, including an official Telegram channel and the following telephone numbers for direct communication:

The Ministry also emphasized that Sri Lankans in Iran can contact the Sri Lankan Embassy in Tehran for further support and information. The Embassy can be reached at the following numbers:
