At least three people have been killed and more than 25 others injured in a tragic bus accident near Dunhinda in the Badulla District. The bus, carrying a group on a private excursion, veered off the road and plunged down a precipice near the 4th Mile Post area on the Badulla-Mahiyanganaya road.
The injured have been rushed to the Badulla General Hospital for treatment. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, which occurred near the notoriously dangerous Dunhinda bends.
