The Sri Lanka Navy conducted an awareness programme on Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) hazards, including practical exercises at Ashroff Jetty, Trincomalee on 17 Jun 25.

Supervised by the Commander Eastern Naval Area, the programme was organized by the Eastern Naval Command CBRN Unit. The programme consisted both theoretical and practical sessions and was attended by representatives of Marine Environmental Protection Authority, Sri Lanka Port Authority, Prima Ceylon (Pvt) Ltd, Police Station, China Bay, Urban Council, Trincomalee and Oceanpick (Pvt) Ltd.

During the in the theoretical segment of programme, participants covered general concepts related to handling chemical hazards, while the practical sessions involved basic exercises with safety protocols and procedures.
