Bangladesh were bowled out for 495 in 153.4 overs early on Day 3 of the first Test against Sri Lanka at the Galle International Stadium. Resuming on 484 for nine, the visitors added just 11 runs before Nahid Rana (0) was dismissed, gloving a delivery from Asitha Fernando to wicketkeeper Kusal Mendis. Hasan Mahmud remained unbeaten on 7.
Mushfiqur Rahim was the top scorer for Bangladesh with a brilliant 163, supported by captain Najmul Hossain Shanto's 148 and Litton Das’s 90. Asitha Fernando was the pick of the Sri Lankan bowlers with figures of 4 for 86, while Milan Rathnayake and Tharindu Rathnayake chipped in with three wickets apiece.
