23 Injured in Bus-Container Collision in Eheliyagoda

The accident took place along the Colombo–Ratnapura main road when a passenger bus collided with a container truck under yet-to-be-determined circumstances. The force of the collision resulted in significant traffic congestion on the busy roadway, with authorities reporting a disruption lasting nearly an hour.

According to police sources, 23 of the injured were promptly admitted to the Eheliyagoda Base Hospital for treatment. The conditions of the injured individuals have not been officially released, though preliminary reports suggest that most injuries are non-life-threatening.
