
"AI For Transforming Public Service" held today (15) at Temple Trees

A workshop on using artificial intelligence to make public service effective and efficient
The workshop held on ‘AI For Transforming Public Service’ together with staff officers of the Presidential Office, to inform and prepare officials as an initial approach to the government-led program to digitalize public service, and to instill a positive attitude on artificial intelligence in public service. The purpose was here.
Dr. Hans Wijesuriya, Senior Advisor to President on Digital Economy, delivered the inaugural lecture here, and Mr. Sanjaya Karunasena, Executive Director of Sri Lanka Information and Communication Technology Representative (ICTA) also delivered a short lecture.
Following that, the gentlemen Harsha Purasinghe and Samisa Abesinghe, the Board of Directors of the Sri Lanka Information and Communication Technology Representative (ICTA) also raised awareness along with practical activities.
Presidential Secretary Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, Senior Additional Secretary of President Roshan Gamage and a group of senior officers from the Presidential office were also gathered for the occasion.

Workshop on using artificial intelligence to make government service effective and efficient was held today (15) at Alari Palace.
In this workshop titled ‘AI For Transforming Public Service’, the executive officers of the Presidential Secretariat attended, enlightening and preparing officers as an initial initiative for the government’s priority plan, digitalizing government service, instructing a progressive approach towards artificial intelligence within public service Yeah this is the purpose.
Kalanidhi Hans Vijesuriya, the President's Sir's Advisor on Digital Economy, along with the initial speech, Sanjaya Karunasena, Administrative Worker of Sri Lankan Information and Communications Technology (ICTA) also delivered the lecture.
Later, Harsha Purasingha and Samiza Abasingha, employee members of Sri Lanka Information and Communication Technology (ICTA) provided explanations along with practical activities.
President's Secretary Kalanidhi Nandika Sanath Kumanayaka, President's Supreme Secretary Roshan Kamage and President's Secretariat's Supreme Officers also attended the event.
Workshop on the Use of Artificial Intelligence to Enhance the Efficiency and Productivity of the Public Serviceitled "AI for Transforming Public Service," the workshop was attended by officials of the Presidential Secretariat. It aimed to serve as an initial orientation for a major government initiative, the digitalization of the public service, by raising awareness and preparing officials, while also fostering a positive perception of artificial intelligence within the public sector.
Dr. Hans Wijesuriya, Senior Advisor to the President on the Digital Economy, delivered the keynote address. Sanjaya Karunaseena, Executive Director of the Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) of Sri Lanka, also presented a brief address.
Subsequently, Harsha Purasinghe and Samisa Abeysinghe, board members of ICTA, conducted awareness sessions incorporating practical demonstrations.
The event was also attended by the Secretary to the President Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, Senior Additional Secretary to the President Mr. Roshan Gamage and several other senior officials from the Presidential Secretariat.
