Son killed, father injured in sword attack following clash in Matugama

A violent clash between two groups in the Ambarullagahawatta area of Matugama has resulted in the death of a young man and serious injuries to his father after they were attacked with a sword.
Police reported that the incident occurred last night (11) following an escalating dispute between the groups. Both the father and son were rushed to Nagoda Hospital in Kalutara, where the son later succumbed to his injuries.
