15 Police Officers Transferred with Immediate Effect

Fifteen police officers, including five senior officers, have been transferred or newly appointed with immediate effect, following the approval of the National Police Commission.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mohan Lal Siriwardena has been appointed Director of Investigations at the Bribery Commission. He previously led the Financial Crimes Division of the CID.

Among other key transfers, SP A.S.K. Bandara and ASP W.T. Anuranga have been moved to the CID from Ampara and Mount Lavinia Divisions respectively. ASP B.L.A. Prasanna has been transferred to the Nugegoda Division, while ASP M.D.P. Deepthi Kumara heads to Elpitiya.

Several Chief Inspectors (CI) and Inspectors have also been reassigned, including:

 K.W.C.N. Abeynarayana to OIC, Delft Police

 S.S.K. Rathnayake to OIC, Matale DivisionI

 D.G.S. Wijesinghe to Gampaha Division

Inspector M.H.N. Tharaka to OIC, Poovarasankulam Police

Inspector S.M.N.N. Siripathi to OIC, Bemmulla Police

These appointments are part of ongoing restructuring efforts within the police force.
