Special train services for Poson festival from today

The Railway Department has announced that, in view of the Poson Festival, special train services will operate from today (09th) until the 12th, from Colombo Fort to Anuradhapura.
Accordingly, 20 special train journeys will operate from Colombo Fort to Anuradhapura, and 36 train journeys will operate from Anuradhapura to Mihintale, according to General Manager of Railways, Mr. Dammika Jayasundara.
He also stated that the 36 train journeys from Anuradhapura to Mihintale will be free of charge.
Special return train services are also in operation for those who travel to Anuradhapura for pilgrimage.
