Under the “Resettlement Program for Unauthorized Families Residing Within the Right-of-Way of the Kelani Valley Railway Line,” the housing complexes built in Kottawa, Malapalla,

‘Pearl City Residencies’ for the resettlement of families who were unlawfully residing on railway reserve land from Nawinna to Padukka were officially handed over to the public today (06), along with the issuance of ownership deeds for the houses.

your image At this ceremony, held under the patronage of Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation and Leader of the House of the Sri Lankan Parliament, Mr. Bimal Rathnayake, ownership deeds were presented to 116 family units who had lost their land and homes.
