Ambassador Jayantha Jayasuriya officially assumed his role as Sri Lanka’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, presenting his Letters of Credence to UN Secretary-General António Guterres at a formal ceremony held at the UN Headquarters.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Jayasuriya conveyed warm greetings from the President of Sri Lanka and reaffirmed the country’s commitment to working closely with the UN and its agencies. Secretary-General Guterres welcomed the Ambassador, commending Sri Lanka’s continued dedication to multilateralism and extending his regards to the Sri Lankan President.
