A SriLankan Airlines flight en route to Singapore was forced to make an emergency landing in Indonesia due to a technical issue.

Flight UL 306, which departed from Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake on the evening of June 5, was diverted to Medan’s Kuala Namu International Airport. The crew took precautionary measures after detecting a technical fault mid-flight.

All passengers and crew onboard are reported to be safe. SriLankan Airlines has initiated an investigation into the incident and is working to provide alternate arrangements for affected passengers.
