Power restored in most areas after major line trip in Biyagama-Pannipitiya grid – CEB

Several parts of Colombo, Kalutara, and surrounding areas experienced temporary power disruptions today following a tripping of the Biyagama-Pannipitiya main power line, the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) reported.
The CEB confirmed that power has since been restored in most affected areas, and restoration efforts are continuing in remaining locations. Authorities are investigating the cause of the line trip and urge the public to report any further outages.
