Parliament is scheduled to meet today, Friday, June 6, at 9:30 a.m., with a full day of proceedings planned, including a special session to honor five deceased former Members of Parliament.

According to the day’s agenda, the session will commence with 30 minutes allocated to parliamentary business as outlined in Standing Orders 22, paragraphs 1 to 6.

From 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., members will respond to questions requiring oral answers, followed by a session under Standing Order 27(2) for an additional 30 minutes.

A significant portion of the day—from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.—has been reserved for the presentation of condolence messages in memory of five former MPs: R. Sampanthan, Kosala Nuwan Jayaweera, J. R.
