The appointment letter awarding ceremony for 640 new Health Assistants (Field Mosquito Control Assistants) was held at the Sri Lanka Foundation Auditorium.
Several senior officials from the Ministry of Health and Mass Media attended the event. This included Additional Secretaries Watsala Priyadarshani (Administration I), Chamika Gamage (Administration II), Prabath Yogachandra (Administration III), Dr. Kumara Wickramasinghe (Medical Services), Sunil Galagama (Development), and Dr. Lakshmi Somatunga (Public Health Services).
Also present were Deputy Director Generals, Director of the National Dengue Control Unit Dr. Sudath Samaraweera, President of the All Ceylon Health Trade Union Federation Attorney-at-Law Samantha Koralearachchi, and many officials and newly appointed staff.
