Train services on coastal line have been disrupted following damage to the railway track between Panadura and Egoda Uyana stations. The incident has led to significant delays, affecting both passenger and freight services.
According to Sri Lanka Railways, the damage occurred on the stretch between Panadura and Wadduwa, causing operations to be restricted to a single track. As a result, trains passing through this section are experiencing delays. The Railways Department has confirmed that repair work is underway to restore normal services.
Passengers are advised to check the latest updates from Sri Lanka Railways before traveling. The department has apologized for the inconvenience and is making every effort to expedite the restoration of services.
