Sri Lanka attracts USD 650 Million in FDIs in Q1 2025

Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, Sunil Handunnetti, announced in Parliament that Sri Lanka secured USD 650 million in Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) during the first quarter of 2025.

The investments are tied to 64 new projects approved and facilitated by the Board of Investment (BOI), reflecting growing investor confidence in the country’s economic and industrial potential. Minister Handunnetti emphasized that these developments mark a positive step toward strengthening Sri Lanka’s economic growth and job creation.
